A combination of manual techniques and therapeutic
exercise is used to assist the patient in regaining proper
muscle strength and joint mobility. This enables
patients to attain proper posture and body mechanics.
The Kinesiotherapy Body Mechanics program
uses corrective therapy to provide functional
strengthening. This programs gives patients the
skills necessary to manage their mechanical
problems.
Based on the Egoscue method we utilize a series of exercises
called E-cises designed to help your body move in
the most efficient manner while sparing your joints,
ligaments and tendons. Since our bodies are one
long chain and the action at one joint can cause
effects that are felt on seemingly opposite parts of
the body, proper alignment is essential for correct
muscle use and especially injury prevention.
Fitness session participants are former insurance
patients who no longer have insurance benefits or
self pay patients. Their primary goal is to
continue to build upon what they have already
learned with the body mechanics program.
BST clinics are an informational,
fun, and exciting way to learn more about specific
techniques for various activities such as walking
and hiking, golfing, cycling, etc. and usually
include refreshments, door prizes, handouts, and the
chance to get personalized advice from industry
experts. Click here to find out where the next
clinic is and discover how you can be a part of this
great opportunity. |
